SESSION FIVE
July 7th - July 9th 9am - 12pm
AGES 13- 17
I have developed this camp to provide art instruction and inspiration, pulling from my fine art and professional art background. Art campers will be limited to 10 per session so there will be lots of one on one attention and guidance. This is for all levels. Each child will be met where they are, and given the opportunity to explore their creative side. They will be encouraged to experiment and see what speaks to them when it comes to creating art!
The three day sessions will be broken down as follows:
Day One: Drawing
Each camper will receive a sketchbook, drawing pencil set, kneaded eraser, and blenders. We will explore these tools and learn how to use them to create a drawing.
We will explore all the basics, and how to build on them to create your own vision! This will lay the groundwork for day two.
Day Two: Watercolor
Each camper will receive a watercolor palette, brush set, mixed media paper pad, and a set of pan watercolors. We will use what we learned the day before to draw a guide for our painting while learning how to use watercolor to create a painting.
Day Three: Paper Quilling
Each camper will receive paper quilling tools and materials. We will learn how to use this method of creating of creating three dimensional paper shapes to collage onto the painting to add embellishment to the final image.
Campers are welcome to bring snacks and beverages to keep with them through the activities.
