After the Storm
After the Storm was completed in 2005. I had been spending time selling my work at the beach, and also receiving its peace and reflection. In this painting I see a boat in red on the dark, wet sand, with a strip of light blue sea. There is a storm that is being processed, but moving farther and farther away. The pink sky reflects the possibility of weather, but also a new day. The bright yellow sun also peeks through. I must sail on, let the storms come, pass through the eye, and come out better for it on the other side. Adventure awaits. Seize the day.
