Blue Ribbons
Blue Ribbons was completed in 2007, as part of a nine piece series, including Red, White and Blue, Grass is Always Greener, Ghostwriting, Circles in the Sky, Orange Fence, Blue Glow, A Cloud in the Sky and Scattered Shapes. Ocean meets scorching land, a tiny beach of peach refuge between opposing forces. I walk the hot coals before me, burning through my foundation of growth, pushing myself to give more than I ever have. All the colors of possibility march brightly as I pull the joy from deep within. I grow tired, but only show hard won energy and flame.
