Paint it on the walls for all to see, express what cannot be held. Graffiti was painted in 2007 amid an outpouring of repressed emotions, memories and hopes. I was showing my work, working through the complexities of my first long term relationship and attempting to deal with the grief of losing my mother four years prior. Bright hope and frenetic energy play against the drip of despair losing its grip on my heart.
