This is the emotional sea. Keeping Afloat started as a portrait of water, but over several years evolved into the abstract construction you see here, completed in 2017. The push and pull of lifes’ currents run under the shapes of color that float on its’ surface. Memories merging with fresh hopes and hurts, trying to form a structure on a wavering foundation. I wade through the lights, darks, ups, downs catching current and finding areas of light. Float, find, feel.
