Swirl was completed in 2006. So many opportunities and directions dance in the circular language found in this piece. The higher, right side of the painting, contains the softest of circles mixed with open brush strokes portraying the echos of past lives and memories. Moving forward from these images are the more defined, brightly painted circles, bumping into each other, fighting for prominence. What do I follow? Which way do I go? My thoughts circled and swirled in inquiry.
